The state company for automotive industry (S.C.A.I) is affiliated to the ministry of industry and minerals established in 1976 at Iskandariyah south of Baghdad. It is specialized in the assembly of trucks according to the technical contracts signed with international companies. In addition, to communication tower construction, SCAI also executes various engineering projects like the building of metal bridges. Under the management and leaderships of its current General Manager –Board Director Engineer Adnan Ahmad Razeen el Sharifi, SCAI seeks to contribute to the economic development in Iraq. SCAI utilizes a variety of support and incentive programs to help strengthen skills development, job creation, and strategic community investments.
SCAI – Ministry of Industry and Minerals & Octagon Invest have joined in a partnership to produce armored vehicles at the first phase. Under the agreement, the two companies will pool their expertise to jointly market, manufacture and support the establishment of an armoring vehicle facility in Baghdad.
